You need to click on the plant you want to plant and then the button will be clickable. At least 2 tiles of empty space is required for mealwood. Last I saw (perhaps u/ghkbrew can update?), this is just checked at harvest, so it should be able to blast them with radiation after reaching maturity as a dupe harvests them. Check you have enough room above, most things need two open tiles above the planter to grow. That was initially 500rads/cycle, but now varies between plants from 460* to 1220 (there are some plants which max at 220* rads, but not sure they even drop mutant seeds). I could have swore it capped out at 80% at that plants max radiation levels. There was only one blacklisted combination of gas grass and exuberant b/c of the conflicting light requirements. It seems like mutations are available to any plants with a % to drop seed chance, so that precludes sleetwheat, nosh beans, oxyferns, arbor trees, and "decorative" plants iirc. The bulk of mutations/their effects seem good, a few things that are off/incomplete: Some of that info might not have gotten updated with info posted later in the thread. Mutated plants do not drop seeds except when you uproot them. If I have multiple rows of Bristle Blossom plants should I bring the water all the way through one row and then through the next, or split the water pipe and have equal pieces go to each row. In order to get mutated seeds, you need to bombard regular plants with radiation, the more radiation, the higher the chance of a mutation, capping out at 80% chance for 500 Rads. Been using Bristle Blossoms for a while, but had a few questions about them in the launch version.
